Costing Format 2 Detailed Breakdown

Data Structure & Mapping

1. Header & Parts Metadata

Excel Label System Field Description
Part No. part_number Unique identifier for the SKU
Part Name part_name Human-readable name
RM Grade material_grade Raw material specification
OD / Length specs_blob Physical dimensions

2. Material Logic

Excel Label System Field Formula / Logic
RM Rate rm_rate Cost per kg (highlighted yellow in sheet)
Gross wt. gross_weight Input material weight
Finish wt. net_weight Final part weight
Scrap Rate scrap_rate Credit value for metal shavings
Net RM price material_cost_calculated (Gross * Rate) - (Scrap wt * Scrap Rate)

3. Machining & Operations

This format calculates Machining Cost (Total CC) by aggregating multiple machine-level steps from the detailed Machining Sheet.

Excel Label System Field Description
Machining Cost internal_ops_total Sum of all routing steps
ICC interest_on_capital Cost of carry (4.60 in sample)
Rejection rejection_allowance Process scrap allowance

4. Packing & Logistics

Format 2 includes a sophisticated packing calculator: - Bubble Sheet: Piece-rate packing material. - Bin Logic: Bin Cost / (Bin Life * Nos per Bin). - Maintenance: Maintenance % on bin cost.

Detailed Machining Calculation

The machining cost is derived from a fine-grained routing table:

Column Description System Mapping
Machine Machine ID machine_master_id
Setup Time Time (Min) setup_time_minutes
Dist / Cuts Tool Path process_specs
Total Time Cycle Time cycle_time_total
MHR Machine Rate machine_hour_rate
